One day only: Vin Scully to take over Dodgers' Twitter account

By Dayn Perry | Baseball Writer

You may recall that the luminous Vin Scully, Dodgers play-by-play man gentleman and board-certified national treasure, has a hands-off/sensible-remove kind of history with Twitter (or "the Twitter" as some of Mr. Scully's vintage are wont to call it).

On Monday next, however, Mr. Scully (happy birthday!) will seize control of the Dodgers Twitter feed and brighten what will otherwise be a dreary, baseball-less winter day ...

I'm not going to succumb to hyperbole and say this will be one of the greatest things in the history of history, but I will say this will be one of the four greatest things in the history of history.

What do you ask a man who's witnessed first-hand so much of baseball history? I'll leave that to you. And me.

I might ask him what he thinks of this ...
