Giancarlo Stanton still unhappy with Marlins

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Remember when the Marlins traded several of their productive players to the Blue Jays in a remarkable salary slash last month? Of course, you do. But do you remember the reaction of Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton? If not, here you go:

Well, not much has changed, according to Stanton's agent, Joel Wolfe (via CBSSports.com's Jon Heyman). On that tweet in particular, Wolfe told Heyman, "It wasn't a reaction. It was a state of mind."

Wolfe wouldn't say if Stanton has requested a trade from Miami. But, needless to say, the young star is not pleased with the situation.

Stanton, 23, hit .290/.361/.608 with 37 homers and 86 RBI in only 123 games. Had he not missed several weeks after knee surgery, it would have been a pretty good bet that Stanton would have led the NL in home runs.

Oh, and if the Marlins choose to keep him, Stanton doesn't have much say in the matter. He won't be a free agent until 2017.
