Did Tim Lincecum do away with the long hair?

Tim Lincecum is famous for more than just his two Cy Youngs and two World Series rings. He's also very well-known for sporting some pretty long hair. But that might be no more. A grainy picture of a possibly short-haired Lincecum is making the rounds on the Internet on Thursday.

Before we go any further, you can spare us the "must be a slow news day" comments. I mean, c'mon. It's Dec. 20 on a baseball blog. Of course, it's slow.

Anyway, here's the Zapruder-like amateur photo:

Is that Lincecum? It definitely could be, but I'm not prepared to say with 100 percent certainty that it's him. However, there was this tweet from a hair stylist last week:

So, there you have it. No good photographic evidence is available, but it sounds like Lincecum is going short for now.

And, yes, I know you'll all sleep better tonight knowing this.
