David Price names his Cy Young trophy 'Clarence'

By Dayn Perry | Baseball Writer

Darrow, Clemons, Carter, Birdseye -- Now you can add David Price's 2012 AL Cy Young to the growing list of the great Clarences of history.

As Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports, Price indeed named his award "Clarence" because, well, Price says he gives a name to everything. And let us say "Clarence" is the perfect first name for a hail-fellow-well-met such as the 2012 AL Cy Young trophy.

Don't ever change, Clarence.
