Last October, while the World Series was being played in Detroit, AL MVP Miguel Cabrera was given an actual crown to celebrate being the first player to win the Triple Crown in either league since Carl Yastrzemski did it in 1967. Cabrera posed for pictures with commissioner Bud Selig and Frank Robinson -- who won the Triple Crown in 1966 -- while holding the crown. Cabrera never actually put it on his head, though.
Well, he has now, apparently with some goading from Justin Verlander. Witness:
