Giancarlo Stanton breaks windshield with BP homer, then signs it

By Mike Axisa | Baseball Writer

Marlins slugger Giancarlo Stanton is known to do damage at the plate, and I'm talking tangible damage that requires money and manual labor to repair. Last season he broke the scoreboard at Marlins Park with this grand slam, and on Friday he broke some poor sap's windshield with a batting practice homer. Because he's a gentleman in addition to baseball's preeminent power hitter, he autographed the poor sap's windshield.

As the tweet says, the windshield was repaired, presumably for free. Still, holy smokes.

Stanton, by the way, will hit seventh (!) for Team USA in their World Baseball Classic matchup against Mexico on Friday night.
