On Aug. 15, 2012, Mariners ace Felix Hernandez threw a perfect game against the Tampa Bay Rays. His catcher for the game was John Jaso. Now with the Athletics, Jaso received a gift prior to Monday's opening day game against his former teammates: A Rolex watch from Hernandez as a "thank you."

Jaso repaid Hernandez by getting the A's first hit of the night, which was a double with one out in the fourth inning.

"He broke up the no-hitter," Hernandez said (via AP recap). "I was going to say, 'Dude, what time is it?"'

Hernandez would get the last laugh, though, as he worked 7 2/3 shutout innings and grabbed the win in a 2-0 Mariners' victory.

The man we call King Felix is now 14-6 with a 2.70 ERA in 27 career starts against the A's. Last season he went eight innings and allowed only one run in a 3-1 victory in the season opener against the A's.
