Right-hander Dylan Bundy has been cleared to begin a throwing program, reports MLB.com's Brittany Ghiroli. The Orioles' top prospect had been shut down with elbow stiffness the last few weeks.

Bundy, 20, was ranked as baseball's best pitching prospect a few weeks ago by Baseball America. Only Jurickson Profar of the Rangers ranked higher among all prospects. Ghiroli says Bundy has been playing catch with no discomfort, so now it's just a matter of working back into game shape.

Bundy made his big-league debut last September, throwing 1 2/3 innings out of the bullpen. He was slated to open the season with the team's Double-A affiliate, but I wouldn't expect him to stay there very long.
