As noted in this space, Cubs outfield prospect Jorge Soler on Wednesday night charged the opposing dugout -- the dugout of High-A Clearwater in the Florida State League, in this instance -- while wielding his bat in a threatening fashion. Soler's angry advance was the result of his getting tangled up with the Clearwater second baseman while running the bases earlier in the game.

Now, CBSSports.com's Jon Heyman reports that Soler, because of his actions, will be suspended for five games and fined an undisclosed amount.

In 2012, the 21-year-old, highly touted Cuban defector batted an impressive .299/.369/.463 in 149 plate appearances across two levels. This season, he's off to a very strong start with High-A Daytona: 1.258 OPS in six games.
