Veteran Yankees lefty Andy Pettitte will be unable to make his scheduled start against the Orioles on Sunday, CBSSports.com's Jon Heyman reports. Pettitte experienced tightness during his last start, and his back locked up while he was getting up from his couch on Thursday night. Pettitte hopes to be able to take the mound by Tuesday or Wednesday.

The 40-year-old Pettitte has been outstanding thus far in 2013, as he's logged a 1.20 ERA across two starts. He's just three wins shy of 250 for his career.

There's no reason to think Pettitte is facing any kind of extended absence, but should he have to miss more than one turn, then David Phelps would likely replace him in the Yankee rotation.
