On Jackie Robinson Day, it is important to remember Robinson as more than a baseball player, as a historical figure who changed the world forever. He used his platform for countless good deeds, and that is far more important than a game.

Beschloss has other neat Jackie Robinson items on his Twitter feed, including a letter to President Dwight D. Eisenhower and a photo with President Richard Nixon. They're all worth checking out.
