The Phillies have activated outfielder Delmon Young off the 15-day DL, reports Todd Zolecki of Young is expected to be in Tuesday's lineup at DH as the team visits the Indians for an interleague series.

Young, 27, opened the year on the DL following offseason ankle surgery. He went 11 for 30 (.367) during a seven-game minor-league rehab assignment. His contract includes a roster bonus, so he'll receive $250,000 just for being activated and added to the active roster.

Phillies GM Ruben Amaro Jr. openly questioned Young's fielding about a week ago, long after signing him to a one-year contract that included weight clauses. Young will join Domonic Brown, John Mayberry Jr. and Laynce Nix in the corner outfield picture, though Ben Revere's struggles (31 OPS+) could land him on the bench with Mayberry in center a bit more often.

To clear a spot on the roster for Young, the Phillies designated outfielder Ezequiel Carrera for assignment.
