The Athletics have placed left-hander Brett Anderson and outfielder Coco Crisp on the 15-day DL, the team announced.
Anderson, 25, was supposed to skip his start on Monday due to an ankle issue, but he wound up throwing 5 1/3 innings in relief during the 19-inning marathon. He is 1-4 with a 6.21 ERA in five starts and the one relief appearances this year.
Crisp, 33, left that same 19-inning game with a hamstring injury. He is hitting .283/.388/.556 with five homers and eight steals on the young season. With Chris Young nursing a quad injury, Yoenis Cespedes will play center field in the interim.
Right-hander Dan Straily was recalled to take Anderson's spot in the rotation. He started in his place on Monday and is 1-0 with a 6.35 ERA in two starts this year. Catcher Luke Montz will replace Crisp on the roster. He was hitting .283/.406/.679 with Oakland's Triple-A affiliate and has not appeared in the big leagues since 2008.
