We've all seen players pretend to get hit by close pitches. It happens every single day. Every once in a while, it actually works. Cubs outfielder Julio Borbon tried to fake his way to first base on Thursday afternoon, and let's just say it was a delayed reaction:
I can't give Borbon more than a "D" for effort there. Can't blame him for trying, though. The Cubs were down two runs in the eighth inning. The umps weren't fooled, and the at-bat ended with Borbon grounding out to second.
