Friday night against the Rays, Rockies center fielder Dexter Fowler was forced to leave the game with what the Rockies announce is right hip flexor soreness.

Fowler had collided with Rays first baseman Sean Rodriguez and limped off the field. Eric Young Jr. replaced Fowler in the Rockies' lineup.

Fowler, 27, is in the midst of what appears to be a breakout season. He's hitting .310/.420/.610 with four doubles, a triple, eight homers, 15 RBI and 21 runs scored.

The Rockies were also without star shortstop Troy Tulowitzki's services Friday night due to his legs feeling "heavy."
