Dodgers center fielder Matt Kemp is a superstar. He makes eight figures a year to play a game. He is under no obligation to do things like this. And he does anyway.

The following video was posted on YouTube with this description:

Matt Kemp is sucha great person. He came over after the game and made one of my best friends night :) he's fighting a tough battle and this was sucha great gift by Matt Kemp ! I'll never forget this.

Well done, Matt.

As we can all see, thanks to modern-day technology, all the fans really wanted was the signed ball. And then Kemp gives his hat. And jersey. And the fans go crazy. And then Kemp gives up the shoes, too.

Kemp has been extensively involved in charity work throughout his career, including the creation of Kemp's Kids and having a charity stipulation in his contract that donates $250,000 annually to the Dodgers Dream Foundation.

So this video seems to be further evidence Kemp is not only an All-Star caliber player, but also an All-Star caliber human being.
