Wednesday after practice, 16 varsity and JV players from the South Sacramento Valley High School (Calif.) baseball team rescued a teenage girl who was trapped underneath a car in a parking lot.
Reports indicate a woman accidentally hit a car in front of her and then, in a panic, put the car in reverse. Unfortunately, when she backed up, she backed over her own daughter. But thanks to the high school baseball players, the daughter survived.
Here's the news story, from KXTV in Sacramento:
Well done, boys. That's more important than anything you'll do on the field.
