Twins rookie center fielder Aaron Hicks has had a very tough first month in the big leagues, but his play has improved in recent weeks. The 23-year-old had the best game of his young career on Monday night, robbing Adam Dunn of a homer while swatting two of his own:
Although Hicks is hitting a measly .152/.256/.286 in 31 games overall, he's put up a much more respectable .246/.323/.491 batting line in his last 18 games. He also has a power-heavy .933 OPS in the month of May.
Baseball America ranked Hicks as the 72nd best prospect in baseball a few weeks ago, and on Monday it was very easy to see why. The kid is some kind of athlete.
