Right-hander Sergio Santos has thrown just 9 1/3 innings for the Blue Jays since being acquired from the White Sox during the 2011-12 offseason, and it doesn't look like he will add to that total anytime soon. From Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca:

Santos, 29, has been beset by a sore elbow and a triceps strain this year after missing most of last season. He had surgery to repair fraying in his labrum.

Before joining Toronto and falling victim to the injury bug, Santos pitched to a 3.29 ERA and 1.30 WHIP with 11.6 K/9 in 115 innings from 2010-11. He took over as Chicago's closer in 2011 and went 30-for-36 in save chances.

Davidi also reports right-handerJosh Johnson played long-toss at the team's spring training complex in Florida on Tuesday. He will do that one more time before getting back on a mound. Johnson is on the DL with a triceps problem.
