Bad news for the Phillies, as two lineup regulars -- first baseman Ryan Howard and catcher Carlos Ruiz -- are scheduled to undergo MRIs on Monday.

Howard was out of the lineup for Sunday's win over the Reds because of left-knee soreness, which he's been dealing with for several days. Howard, who's batting .245/.282/.430 with six homers this season, missed significant time last year after rupturing his Achilles' in the 2011 playoffs.

Ruiz felt a "pop" in his hamstring while running the bases Sunday (source: AP) and afterward did not travel with the team to Miami. Thus far, Ruiz is batting .240/.291/.280 after missing the first 25 games of the season because of a failed test for amphetamines. In 2012, Ruiz was an All-Star, thanks in large part to his .935 OPS.
