Thanks to his second-inning double off Jake Odorizzi of the Rays on Monday afternoon, Blue Jays outfielder Melky Cabrera has now doubled in six consecutive games. He did need a charity turf-related hop to turn a single into the double, however:

Cabrera has now doubled in six consecutive games, which is tied for the longest streak since Derrek Lee doubled in eight straight for the Cubs back in 2007. Andrew McCutchen doubled in six straight in 2011 while Conor Jackson did it in 2010. Lee's streak is the longest in baseball history.

Cabrera, 28, has rebounded from a very slow start to go 20 for 50 (.400) with eight doubles and one homer in his last 12 games. His season line sits at a tolerable .283/.319/.376 and is obviously trending upwards.
