I have very little interest in basketball, but even I had to tune in to the final minutes of regulation of Game 6 of the NBA Finals on Tuesday night. Some Miami Heat fans had other ideas though, as droves of people exited the arena before the end of the game only to try to weasel their way back in once things got interesting.

The Fort Myers Miracle, a Minnesota Twins Single-A affiliate in the Florida State League, came up with a clever promotion that Heat fans can take advantage of on Thursday night while Game 7 of the NBA Finals between the Heat and San Antonio Spurs is played. Here are the details:

The Miracle are offering a "Big Three" deal for Miami fans that come to Thursday night's game against the Jupiter Hammerheads at Hammond Stadium. Fans wearing Heat gear will get a $3 ticket, but must enter the ballpark through the exit gates. To get the $3 deal, Heat fans must stay through the entire nine innings on a Thirsty Thursday.

Any attempt to leave the ballpark early will cost Heat fans "good money" and incremental amounts of "good money" will be commensurate with the timing of the fickle Heat fan's exit.

They dubbed it a "spur" or the moment deal.

Minor-league promotions are always good for a laugh. Well done, Miracle.
