Adrian Beltre and Elvis Andrus are doing that pop-up thing again

As previously chronicled here at EOB, Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus has a rather wonderful habit of getting in the personal space of Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre during the course of infield pop-ups. Beltre, whose glare can range from "steely" to "murderous," doesn't seem to think much of Andrus's tomfoolery -- yeah, I said it: tomfoolery -- but that didn't stop him from exacting a very small and glancing measure of revenge on Saturday night against the Cardinals. Regard:

Not bad, Mr. Beltre, but you should really be learning from the master of the manuever positioned conveniently to your left. Nice effort, though.

Seriously, you must study the entire ouevre of these contested pop-ups in order to get the full effect. In the meantime, consider this perhaps my favorite current baseball sub-subplot of all.
