For the first time in June, center fielder Matt Kemp is in the Dodgers' starting lineup. He's hitting fifth and playing center, which shifts phenom Yasiel Puig to left field.

Kemp hasn't played since May 29 due to a hamstring injury -- and keep in mind, he might have been hampered early in the season due to the after effects of offseason shoulder surgery.

Kemp, 28, is hitting .251/.305/.335 with just two homers and 17 RBI in 51 games this season. Back in 2011, he hit .324/.399/.586 with 39 homers, 126, RBI, 115 runs and 40 stolen bases, which earned him second place in NL MVP voting.

The minor-league rehab stint didn't start off very well for Kemp, as he went 0 for 5 with four strikeouts on Saturday night, but he went 2 for 6 (.333) with two doubles, a walk and a stolen base in the next two games for Triple-A Albuquerque.

The Dodgers have won three straight games and are eight games out in the NL West.
