Not one, but two position players pitched on Friday. First, White Sox outfielder Casper Wells broke out a nasty breaking ball in the first game of the team's unfortunate doubleheader against the Indians.

A few hours later, utility man Skip Schumaker took the mound for the Dodgers in the ninth inning of a blowout loss. One pitch to Phillies outfielder John Mayberry Jr. got away:

I think it's pretty safe to say Schumaker felt bad about the pitch and wanted to make sure Mayberry knew it wasn't intentional. The Dodgers have had enough bean-ball problems this year as it is.

Schumaker loaded the bases with two outs but pitched out of the jam, making him the only Los Angeles pitcher to not allow a run in the game. It was his second pitching appearance of the year and both have been scoreless. He sports a 6.00 ERA and 2.67 WHIP in three career innings, so stick to mopup duty, Skip.
