Astros slugger Chris Carter is the quintessential high-strikeout, huge-power slugger. He entered Saturday with an MLB-leading 109 strikeouts, but he's also clubbed 15 homers and ranks 22nd among all qualified hitters with a .229 isolated power. Carter doesn't connect often, but when he does, the ball goes a long way.
That offensive profile invokes memories of slugger Pedro Cerrano from the film Major League, who freely admitted: "Straight ball, I hit it very much. Curveball ... bats are afraid." On Saturday, Carter paid homage to perhaps the most famous high-strikeout, huge-power slugger:

I guess all Carter needs to do is offer Jobu some rum and cigars. Or just keep hitting dingers. Someone will give him a job if he keeps doing that.
