Angels center fielder Peter Bourjos was hit with a pitch in the right wrist Saturday by Jordan Lyles of the Astros. And it's going to cost Bourjos two to three weeks, as he has a nondisplaced fracture in a bone just below the right wrist. He'll be placed on the disabled list for the second time this season.

“You never want to hear this news -- when I looked up ‘fracture' on the Internet I saw six to eight weeks,” Bourjos said (LATimes.com). “So, it could have been a lot worse. We have three off days in July and then the All-Star break, so I won't miss as many games.”

Bourjos has also dealt with a strained hamstring and a thumb injury this season. He's only managed to play 40 games, but when he has been in the lineup he's been productive.

Bourjos, 26, is hitting .326/.385/.450 with three doubles, two triples, three homers, four stolen bases and 21 runs scored. He's also an excellent defensive center fielder

With Bourjos out, the Angels will play Mike Trout in center field and J.B. Shuck in left.
