Just as they face losing one member of the rotation, Rick Porcello, to suspension, the Tigers are poised to get back right-hander Anibal Sanchez.

Sanchez has been on the disabled list since June 16 with a shoulder strain, but MLB.com's Jason Beck tweets that manager Jim Leyland says Sanchez will be activated in time to face the Indians on Saturday. Beck notes that Sanchez will likely be on a pitch count.

This season, Sanchez, when healthy, has been oustanding: 81 2/3 IP, 2.76 ERA, 101 K, 23 BB, 4 HR. He's in the first year of a five-year, $80 million free-agent contract that he signed this past winter.

Insofar as the big four-game series that starts Friday is concerned, Sanchez's Tigers presently trail the Indians by 1/2 game in the AL Central.
