The Black Keys have sponsored a Little League team

When I played Little League, my teams were sponsored by a hardware store, a sub-contractor trafficking in concrete and a construction company. In other words, nothing especially cool.

In humbling contrast, in Akron, Ohio, there exists a Little League squad that's sponsored by Grammy-winning rock-and-or-roll band The Black Keys (who, unlike so many other Grammy winners, are actually really good).

Courtesy of the Twitter timeline of Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney comes the photographic evidence:

And from the league's Facebook page, the uni in action ...

According to TMZ, Carney and band-mate Dan Auerbach will autograph each kid's jersey after the season is over.

At this point, one must assume that the otherwise recalcitrant Kelly Leak would require very little persuading in order to suit up for the Black Keys' Little League team.
