Eye on Photos: Sights around Citi Field for 2013 MLB All-Star Game

By Matt Snyder | Baseball Writer

NEW YORK -- The 2013 Major League Baseball All-Star Game is set for Tuesday night at New York's Citi Field. You might have heard something about it.

Anyway, I arrived a bit early Tuesday and took a stroll around the beautiful ballpark. Here's some photo evidence.

Click on any photo for a full-size version:

The apple made an appearance pregame, All-Star logo and all.
Shea Stadium: Gone but not forgotten.
The right-center field Shea Bridge. Love the old-school baseball card touch above some of the concession stands.
The Jackie Robinson Rotunda. Must-see viewing for anyone visiting. The beautiful view from the field, about four hours until game time.
The apples, they're everywhere!
Fans could test their arms just outside the home-plate entrance.
He has a locker room! (Sorry about the blurry picture, I was on the move when I took this at the last minute). The old Shea Stadium apple was also dressed for the event.
