Suspended Brewers slugger Ryan Braun loses endorsement deal

On the heels of accepting a 65-game suspension to end his 2013 season, Brewers star Ryan Braun has lost an endorsement deal with a local convenience store chain. According to Darren Rovell of ESPN.com, Braun has been dropped as the spokesman of a promotion with Kwik Trip.

Per Rovell, Kwik Trip is a chain of more than 400 stores based in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa and Braun had been with the company for four years.

And it gets even more interesting from there. Apparently the company was running a promotion where the winner would get to have lunch with Braun at a restaurant in Milwaukee. The winner was supposed to be announced in 11 days, but that's all now been cancelled.

So in addition to losing 65 games worth of paychecks, Braun takes another hit. Not that it's gonna bury him. He's still owed well over $100 million on his current contract, which runs through 2020 with a mutual option for 2021.
