Mariners manager Eric Wedge has been released from the hospital following a "very mild stroke," the team announced. He suffered a dizzy spell prior to Monday's game and was sent to the hospital as a precaution.

Wedge, 45, is expected to make a full recovery. He will miss the team's next series and upcoming six-game road trip on the East Coast. Wedge spent two nights at the hospital following the dizzy spell.

Bench coach Robby Thompson will serve as the team's manager for the time being.
