Many people won't admit it, but foul balls are scary. Especially when you're sitting real close to the action at field level. They can get on you in a hurry and flinching is a perfectly normal human reaction. You will look silly on television of course, but that's life.
That's life if your name is not Dennis Drinkwater, I should say. Mr. Drinkwater frequents Red Sox games and has some primo seats behind the plate, and he's somehow mastered the art of not flinching when foul balls come flying at his face. It's pretty amazing. Here, watch:
Maybe one day we'll all evolve into Dennis Drinkwaters and no longer be scared of foul balls. That would probably make baseball less enjoyable to watch, though.
