Joshua Jones, ailing fan who Matt Kemp befriended, has died

By Matt Snyder | Baseball Writer

Joshua Jones has been claimed by brain cancer at the age of 19 (MLB.com).

Jones has no connection to baseball other than that he was part of two of the most heart-warming videos this season.

It's a real shame what happened to Jones at such a young age, just as it is when a disease ends anyone's life prematurely. Thanks to Kemp, though, Jones had a few major bright spots in his last few months. It's surely a small bit of solace to the Jones family, but still a bit of solace nonetheless.
