The disaster that is the 2013 season rolls on for Blue Jays starting pitcher Josh Johnson. The team announced that he's been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a right forearm strain Tuesday.

This marks the second disabled list trip of the season and the sixth in his career. This trip probably hurts the chances Johnson will be moved after clearing waivers.

This is worse, though, because we used to be able to say that Johnson was good-to-great when healthy. This season he's 2-8 with a 6.20 ERA and 1.66 WHIP. His strikeout rate (9.2 K/9) remains high, but he's being knocked around the park as opposing hitters are hitting .305/.363/.488 against him this season. He has had poor luck on balls in play, but overall it's been a season to forget for Johnson.

Even worse news for the 29-year-old right-hander is he's set to hit free agency this winter.
