VIDEO: Ian Kinsler gets inside-the-park homer due to hidden ball

By Matt Snyder | Baseball Writer

Rangers second baseman Ian Kinsler had a rather weird inside-the-park home run Friday night in Chicago. He hit a ball down the line that ended up underneath the padding against the wall in foul territory. It wasn't, however, stuck, so the umpires never called it a ground-rule double and Kinsler just kept running.

Here it is:

White Sox manager Robin Ventura would be ejected while arguing the call, which would stand.

I wonder if Dayan Viciedo should've just left the ball there and tried to force the umpire's hand? Him finding the ball and getting it out may have been the reason they didn't call anything.

Overall, though, weird play.
