Two slender Pennsylvania men were arrested early Sunday morning after they squeezed through the metal bars at Wrigley Field and attempted to steal some of the ballpark's iconic ivy, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The two, Kevin Burge and Steven Gudknecht, both 25, were seen on security cameras entering the field at around 3:45 a.m. and were eventually charged with misdemeanor trespassing upon their arrest.

When the police arrived, the pair were “found on the field, as they were trying to get ivy,” Julian Green, a Cubs spokesman, said to the Tribune.

“When you have two individuals intent on committing foul play, they are going to find a way,” Green said. “They were just some fans who probably wanted to take a piece of Wrigley Field back home.”

According to Burge's mother, contacted by CBSChicago, the two are huge Phillies fans, "who probably just wanted to get their pictures on the field, if I know them," she said. "They're big-time baseball fans. Stupid prank, I'm sure. Stupid move."

The two, evidently in town for the Cubs' weekend series against the Phillies, are scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 26 as the team plans to pursue charges.
