VIDEO: Highlights from Jerry Seinfeld calling Mets-Giants game

By Matt Snyder | Baseball Writer

What can liven up an otherwise relatively meaningless September game between non-contenders? Throw Jerry Seinfeld in the booth!

Thanks to MLB.com, here's an 11-minute, 40-second clip of highlights.

Easily my favorite one is Seinfeld noting that they needed eight takes to get the Keith Hernandez-Elaine Benes (played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus) makeout scene in their 1992 episode of Seinfeld titled "The Boyfriend."

Seinfeld also thinks Tim Lincecum would be a good add to the Mets in the offseason because they need a "cool guy" on the team.

Finally, Seinfeld wanted Josh Satin to be waved home on a play in which he would have been out by a mile at home -- with Hernandez mocking Seinfeld along the way.

Can I request someone to do this with Larry David at some point?
