UPDATE: A source tells Adam Rubin that Wright has passed his initial battery of concussion tests. Consider that good news.
Wright in the moments after being hit seemed fairly aware and congnizant of his surroundings. He was of course removed from the game but was able to leave under his own power.
Wright previously suffered a concussion in 2009 after being beaned by Matt Cain of the Giants. As a result, he spent time on the disabled list.
This season, Wright, age 30, is batting .312/.397/.522 in 484 plate appearances. He just recently returned from the DL after missing 45 games with a strained right hamstring.
