Given all the hoopla surrounding Mariano Rivera's imminent retirement, it is easy to forget Andy Pettitte is retiring after the season as well. Well ... retiring for the second time, anyway.

Pettitte made the final start of his career on Saturday, at home in Houston. He grew up in the area and spent the only three non-Yankees seasons of his career with the Astros. Because a Pettitte-esque six solid innings wouldn't have been enough, the veteran southpaw threw a complete-game in the 2-1 win. It was his first complete-game since 2006. Here's the final out and the wave goodbye:

The win gave Pettitte an 11-11 record on the year. He has never had a losing record in his 18-year career and is the only pitcher in baseball history who has played at least 15 seasons and can make that claim. Pretty remarkable when you think about it.

Following the 27th out on Saturday, Pettittte wrapped up his experience rather perfectly:

Ain't that the truth.
