MORE: Miller -- Loria does it again

Earlier this week, Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria announced the dismissal of long-time exec Larry Beinfest. Now, the team has announced the final steps in the front-office restructuring.

Michael Hill, who's served as the Marlins' vice-president and GM since 2007, has been promoted to president of baseball operations. In a related move, Dan Jennings, who had been serving as the team's assistant GM and vice-president of player development, has been installed as the new GM. CBSSports.com's Danny Knobler had previously reported that Jennings was tabbed for the role.

As Clark Spencer noted on Twitter, Loria didn't show up for the press conference announcing the latest round of changes.

While the Marlins, on a tight budget and with a roster largely consisting of young players under team control, likely won't have a busy offseason in terms of player-personnel decisions, their standing in the eyes of the public remains an ongoing challenge. That's especially the case considering the continued presence of the deliriously unpopular Loria.
