After 162 games, we still have playoff uncertainty. The Rays and Rangers are even at 91-71 for the second AL wild card and they'll meet Monday night in Arlington to determine who goes into the postseason.
On Sunday, the Rays staved off a Blue Jays comeback for a 7-6 win, and the Rangers defeated the Angels at home by a score of 6-2.
Monday night's tiebreaker will begin at 8:07 pm EST, and, as mentioned, Texas will host by virtue of their 4-3 record against the Rays in the regular season. It will be the 20th tiebreaker game in MLB history and the first since Twins topped the Tigers in 2009 to decide the AL Central title.
As for the pitching match-ups, here's this tweet from our own Scott Miller ...
The winner of this play-in will advance to face the Indians in the AL wild-card game on Wednesday in Cleveland. The winner of that game will face the top-seeded Red Sox in the ALDS.
