PHOTO: Marlins misprint date on fake no-hitter tickets

Try again, Miami. (Deadspin)

It doesn't get much more pathetic than this for the Marlins.

One day after trying to sell the allotment of the 9,100 unused tickets to Henderson Alvarez's no-hitter, the watchdogs at Deadspin called to attention one minor, almost insignificant error.

The inept franchise, which finished the season 62-100, printed the wrong date on the commemorative “tickets”. The no-no occurred this past Sunday on Sept. 29. The printable PDFs that the Marlins were hawking for $15 dollars had the date at Sunday, Oct. 3.

Silly Marlins, only playoff teams get to play in October.
