Eye On Ballparks: Busch Stadium | Fenway Park

The Photo Album

All photos by Eye On Baseball, which means all photos by me and my state-of-the-art mobile cellular handheld telephone.

First up, here's the iconic exterior, bathed in heavenly light and or the natural luminescence of Vin Scully ...

Giant bobblehead, ostensibly glad to see you but also a bit wary of your intentions ...

Here's a number you may recognize ...

Steps leading to the outfield sections or the entrance to a theme-park jungle cruise? That's a compliment, by the way ...

This is pretty cool if you're a fan of retro fonts on corrugated metal, which, as it turns out, I am ...

From the field, where baseball is played ...

Prominent indicator of whose house you're in ...

And finally, the magnificently appointed field-level restrooms. Come with me, won't you?

Excelsior!

The Breakdown

Dodger Stadium is a pretty famous pitcher's park, dating back to the days of Sandy Koufax when the place may or may not have featured a mound that was higher than what MLB rules allowed. These days, it's still a modest pitcher's environment overall, although it's actually a pretty good venue for left-handed power hitters.

Above all, though, Dodger Stadium is a splendid place to take in a ballgame. So let's do just that.
