ALCS Tigers-Red Sox Game 3 weather: Rain, eventually

DETROIT -- When the Tigers and Red Sox continue the ALCS with Game 3 in a few hours, they'll do so under less than ideal weather conditions. It's chilly (temperatures in the low 60s) with a steady breeze, plus it's overcast to the point that the Comerica Parks lights have already been turned on.

First pitch is scheduled for a little after 4pm ET, and here's a view from the right field stands as of 2:45pm ET or so:

CBS Detroit says rain is in the forecast, but not until 7pm ET or so. It is expected to intensify around 8pm ET and continue all night through Wednesday morning.

As a reminder, postseason games do not become official until a full nine innings are played. If the game is suspended due to rain, I assume they'll complete Game 3 on Wednesday and push Games 4 and 5 back to Thursday and Friday, respectively. Hopefully that doesn't happen. There appears to be enough of a window to get nine innings in this evening, though the last few may be a little wet.
