GAME ENDING AUDIO: NLCS Game 4, Dodgers lose at home

LOS ANGELES -- It's time for "Game Ending Audio," which delivers to you, variously, the explosion of joy or the groan-punctuated silence of the last out or hit of these most meaningful October games.

In this instance, we have a first: Audio of the home crowd in the moments after a loss by the home team -- in this instance, the Dodgers after a 4-2 loss to the Cardinals in Game 4 of the NLCS. What you're about to hear will be ... uninspiring in the extreme.

To be fair, the Dodger Stadium crowd was a bit deflated after Yasiel Puig hit into a double play, so when Juan Uribe struck out to end it, the partisans were already in a state of grim assumption. Give a listen to the sounds of sad ...

So quiet you could hear an obscenity drop.
