NLCS Dodgers-Cardinals Game 6 weather: Possible rain, definite brrr

ST. LOUIS -- Let's the get the pregame photo out of the way right up front, because what you're about to see isn't going to last, at least according to local weather sorcerers ...

That's the view from the field prior to Game 6 between the Dodgers and Cardinals. The sunlight you see won't last in no small part because, well, this is a night game. Also, though, there's a somewhat troubling weather forecast in play. CBS St. Louis, using intruments of science, calls for an increasing chance of rain throughout the night -- including a 50 percent chance of precipitation by 10 pm local time. So there's that.

There's also the fact that's it's a bit on the chilly side. Temps at first pitch will be in the mid-50s, and we'll dip down into the 40s before the game is done.

For what it's worth, L.A. starter Clayton Kershaw has made just three career starts when the temp has been 55 degrees or colder. His counterpart, Cards rookie Michael Wacha, has never started under such conditions, at least as a major-leaguer.
