Veteran reliever and free agent LaTroy Hawkins, most recently of the Mets, was on an American Airlines flight en route to Chile for some dove hunting in nearby Argentina when he helped subdue and restrain an unruly passenger, ESPN New York reports. Eventually, the plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Lima, Peru, where Hawkins helped escort the passenger off the plane and into the loving arms of local authorities.
