When the World Series ended on Wednesday night, so did Tim McCarver's broadcasting career. The 72-year-old is retiring to spend time with his family and basically get away from baseball for the first time in his adult life. He broke into the big leagues as a 17-year-old in 1959. Retirement was a long time coming.
