The Blue Jays on Thursday exercised their 2014 options on first baseman Adam Lind, closer Casey Janssen and veteran utility man Mark DeRosa, reports Shi Davidi of SportsNet. Lind will make $7 million next season, while Janssen and DeRosa will make $4 million and $750,000, respectively.

Lind, 30, is coming off one of the best seasons of his career, as he batted .288/.357/.497 (132 OPS+) with 23 home runs. The contract he signed prior to the 2010 season also includes team options for 2015 and 2016.

The 31-year-old Janssen, meanwhile, was oustanding for a third straight season, as he pitched to a 2.56 ERA, 160 ERA+, 0.99 WHIP and 3.85 K/BB in 52 2/3 innings. Those results are especially encouraging considering Janssen was coming off offseason shoulder surgery and missed most of spring training.

As for DeRosa, the 38-year-old batted .235/.326/.407 in 88 games and spent time at four different positions.

Elsewhere, Davidi also reports that the Jays declined to pick up their 2014 option on infielder Munenori Kawasaki.
